PetSafe’s Electronic Dog SmartDoor allows you control your pet�s coming and going without the hassle of having to constantly open and close your door. The electronic dog door simply unlocks whenever your pet nears the door and automatically re-locks after the pet has entered or exited. The range on the Electronic Dog SmartDoor is adjustable up to three feet.

There are 3 different setting to this automatic dog door: locked, unlocked or automatic access. Locked keeps the dog door from opening, keeping your dog locked in or out of your home. Unlocked will allow your pet to roam in and out of the pet door without the SmartKey. Automatic access grants entrance or exit to up to 5 pets wearing a SmartKey. One SmartKey is included with the Smart dog door.

The SmartDoor will fit into doors from 1 ½ inches to 2 inches thick. The flap size of the Electronic Dog SmartDoor is 6 5/8 x 8 and the overall dimensions are 9 ½”x15 ¾”. Pets up to 15 pounds can access this small automatic dog door. The SmartKey is very lightweight and can be attached to your pets existing collar up to ¾ inch.

The Electronic Dog Door uses 4 “D” size batteries and the SmartKey uses 1 RFA-67 battery. The low battery indicator light on the dog door will allow you to know when the batteries need to be switched out. Because the door uses batteries you will not have to deal with unattractive and inconvenient wires or having to make sure the door is near an outlet so that you can plug it in.

The weather resistant seal and the insulated flap on the Electronic Dog SmartDoor are very energy efficient which keep out the hot or cold air from outdoors and keeps your air condition and heat inside.
